Jennifer Lopez Wore the Most Micro-Mini French Manicure I've Ever Seen

If the tips were any skinnier, this literally wouldn't be a French manicure.

Just when we thought Jennifer Lopez was single-handedly (er… double-handedly?) ushering in the triumphant return of the nail art era with her recent extra-opulent Swarovski butterfly manicure, it seems she's still very much on Team Nude Nails. The superstar attended Broadway's glitzy opening night of Good Night, and Good Luck (starring the almost unrecognizable George Clooney) wearing a French manicure so subtle that not even squinting may help you make out the micro tips.

Lopez arrived at the Winter Garden Theatre in Manhattan looking like an absolute vision in formalwear against backdrops of high-low Times Square. (Let's just say there are some stunning paparazzi shots of J. Lo in front of an Applebee's.) She wore a plunging, strapless, black velvet gown by Saiid Kobeisy, which she briefly enrobed in a fluffy white cape. The multi-hyphenate was decked out in Van Cleef & Arpels and Boucheron jewels, and a good look at her Tyler Ellis clutch doubled as a nice view of her lovely manicure by Elle Gerstein.

Gerstein used Aprés Nail gel polish in a perfectly sheer shade of beige-pink, and from certain distances and angles, it may look like that's all there is to the mani. But it is, in fact, a French manicure, with the teensy little sliver of white wrapping around the very ends of her long, oval shape.

A tip this tiny is definitely not something you can expect to nail (pun 1000% intended) on the first try if you attempt it yourself, so you may want to go to a trusted nail artist to achieve this look on your own nails. But don't worry: Traditional-width French tips are still very much going strong.
