Christina Aguilera may not be the first person who comes to mind when you think about Disney princess, but lest we forget, she got her big break on the Mickey Mouse Club in the 1990s. So even though the superstar singer is known for boundary-pushing looks that may not fit the typical fairytale mold, it's really no surprise that she totally nailed romantic maiden vibes.
On Sunday, April 6, Aguilera was one of several celebrities who attended the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony—basically the Oscars for scientists—where she wore a white Dolce & Gabbana gown that's bound to inspire some bridal looks this year. The long, white dress draped dreamily over her shoulders, contrasting with the romantic rigidity of the laced-up corset bodice.
But that's just the beginning of the modern-day princess mien. Xtina went full Rapunzel with her hair. Parted in the middle, it's pulled half up into a loose bun that flows down into the rest of her length. And there's a lot of length. Her beachy blonde waves reach well past her waist.
Aguilera kept it dainty with a classic French manicure. Her makeup took a more glam turn with deep, darkly lined, mauve-berry lips and extra-lush lashes that practically reached her impeccably sculpted eyebrows.
Is this a soft new direction for Aguilera? Knowing her and how often she switches up her look, it's not necessarily her new signature style but rather just one more look she can easily pull off.
